Most of us know that uterine fibroids are the non-cancerous growth of the uterus, and most women will face this reproductive health issue during their childbearing years. Although women think that this health issue is directly linked with the growth of a tumor or cancer in their uterus, but in reality, this is not the case.

At Gem IVF Center in Punjab, we have come across a number of such issues, and one thing that we mostly hear from our patients is how uterine fibroids will affect our IVF procedure.

        What are Uterine Fibroids?

Generally, Uterine Fibroids are the abnormal and non-cancerous growth of the uterus, which is not going to form cancer ever. It is one such issue that is being faced by a lot of women, but still, it gets unnoticed as, in most cases, the symptoms are none.

Women come to know that they are facing uterine fibroids after regular checkups from their gynecologist. Here are some symptoms faced by patients of uterine fibroids:

        • Abnormal heavy bleeding
        • Pelvic pain
        • Discomfort during sex

There are some serious conditions in which this uterus health issue can lead to issues such as impairing a woman’s fertility by making changes in her reproductive environment.

        Different types of Uterine Fibroids:

There are different types of uterine fibroids which are distinguished on the basis of location, size, and growth; the fibroids are considered into two different types, which are as follows:

        • Subserosal:

The first type of uterine fibroids is the one that grows on the outer side of the uterus and is known as subserosal fibroids.

        • Intramural:

This type of uterine fibroid is found within the layer of the uterine wall.

        • Submucosal:

This is the type of uterine fibroid that is found inside the uterine cavity.

This was all about the different types of uterine fibroids, but submucosal fibroids are also distinguished into three types which are as follows:

        • Fibroids with no internal extensions
        • Fibroids with less than 50% internal extensions
        • Fibroids with more than 50% internal extensions

Can you face infertility due to Uterine Fibroids?

As we have already discussed, Uterine Fibroids are usually of different shapes and sizes, and if the uterine fibroids are larger than 6 cm, then the women would have to face issues in getting pregnant and delivering a healthy baby.

If you are moving forward with a test tube baby procedure, with respect to the test tube baby cost in Punjab, ensure that you are not facing fibroids in the uterine cavity, as it’s the major issue behind problems linked with fertility and delivery of the baby.
