Artificial insemination or IUI

This treatment is suggested for a couple with unexplained infertility or a male partner with sperm issues. If after 3 attempts of the IUI cycle, if women are not able to conceive then IVF or ICSI is suggested.

The egg retrieval is a simple procedure and the patient is under the effect of light anesthesia. In total 10 to 12 quality eggs are taken out.
Following that, sperm and egg are kept together inside a controlled environment to boost conception chances. After 3 to 5 days, the embryo is formed and the embryologist will choose the one with the best quality. The embryo is placed back in the ovaries. In case, there are good quality embryos, then they are frozen for future use.
Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
ICSI is suggested to the couple to deal with sperm issues. In this case, the sperm is injected directly into the egg to boost the conception chances. Following that the approach is the same as IVF.
Intracytoplasmic morphologically selected sperm injection (IMSI)

It is the ICSI variation, With ICSI, the sperm is checked under the microscope around 200 times in the magnifying lens. With IMSI, high magnification is used which is done around 6000 times.
